It took only 4 weeks to get the results. I would like to thank you again for this wonderful workshop; it was more than that – it was an experience not only for this exam but for life and my future practice. I will be always grateful to you for this.I did not find the exam too difficult. It’s really all about focusing on the patient and trying to remember what to do next. I found all the things you taught in the workshop very useful. I wasn’t nervous in the exam and that’s because I was well prepared. Most of the answers to the questions were “no” which did not make me concerned because I knew from the workshop that’s what to expect. I also never froze even if the patients were not cooperative – I knew that all what the SP do is on purpose, so I just tried to deal with it the best I could. I think the most important thing that you also told us is to treat the SP as a real patient – only this way you can be empathetic and caring enough. I hope these comments help.Again thank you so much for helping me pass. Your workshop really stressed what is important – it’s all about the communication. I don’t think I would have been prepared in the right way had I studied alone. It was also a real pleasure to meet you both. I think you are two extraordinary, highly knowledgable and very caring people, and your work is highly appreciated. I would also like to thank the actors – they were great and helped me a lot to prepare for the SP in the exam.I hope you will keep doing the workshops for more years to come! I wish you all the best, and I will recommend you to all my friends who want to take the exam.” — Agata Bogusz, M.D., Poland “Dear Dr. Swartz,I have just received my score just now, and I’m happy to tell you that I have passed!Thank you so much for all your help!Sincerely,” — William Winardi, Poland “Hello,This is Sam Snyder, I was at your course in November 2015… I just received my score today and I’m very happy to report that I passed!Thank you all very much for your help! Your course went a long ways in building my confidence and helping me know what to expect stepping into this exam. I’d also like to thank you for your emergency exit strategy, unfortunately I had to use it during the exam more than once, but I think that it really helped with a patient encounter that otherwise would have been awkward.I hope that you’re all doing well and getting dug out from all that snow!” — Sam Snyder, Poland “Dear Dr. Swartz and Anna,I attended your class in November 2005 and took the test in December 2006. I am very happy to say that I passed the exam. Sorry it took so long to inform you of the good news.I think your course was an excellent tool for preparation for this exam. I felt confident because you showed us how to manage difficult, rude and argumentative patients. It was great that you trained us to look for a hidden agenda behind seemingly straightforward cases.Dr. Swartz, your personality and skills really inspired me. It was a thrilling experience to spend 3 days with such a great person. On the whole, the course was wonderful, and I recommend it.Thank you again!” — Andrzej Kroszczynski, M.D., Poland “Dear Dr. Swartz,I took my exam on June 22nd in Chicago , exactly one month after participating in your C3NY workshop. Yesterday I received wonderful news – I passed. What made my exam challenging for me was that half of the SPs responded with “no” to most of my questions, but thanks to you I kept in my mind to act confident, stay calm, and keep the conversation flowing. I also tried to follow your advice to “be curious” and to pay attention to all the “little” details when interacting and communicating with the patient. These are just a few of the valuable tools that I’ve learned during your classes and in the end successfully put to use.The wonderful thing about your workshop is that you teach not only how to pass the exam but mainly how to become a better doctor, and that is something I will always have as I continue to pursue my career in medicine. Thanks once again to you and Anna Lank for all the inspiration and motivation.I also hope you will continue your workshops. You and all the people in C3NY are amazing teachers and your passion is highly contagious. I will always recommend your program. I believe it is the right place to go to prepare for the Step 2-CS exam.” — Agnieszka Wisniewska, M.D., Poland Matthew Callahan freelance writer of policy, politics, religion, and tech. web designer, social media manager, a/v installer, computer question-answerer.
