Our very own Mark H. Swartz, MD recently visited Xiangya Hospital's Teaching and Research Section of Diagnostics of Internal Medicine.

"Recently, at the invitation of the Teaching and Research Section of Diagnostics of Internal Medicine, Prof. Mark H. Swartz, an internationally renowned diagnostics expert, visited Xiangya Hospital, Central South University, and carried out one-week academic exchanges. During his visit, Prof. Mark H. Swartz was not only appointed lecture professor of Xiangya Hospital, but also disseminated cutting-edge diagnostics knowledge in the form of academic exchanges and teaching rounds, contributing to Xiangya Hospital’s implementation of internationalization strategy.

"Against the background of “Healthy China 2030” and the construction of “double first-class”, in order to deepen the medicine-education cooperation and further promote the medical education reform and development, Xiangya Hospital is building an international exchange platform for medical education. In recent years, particularly under the guidance of the “internationalization talent development” strategy, the Teaching and Research Section of Diagnostics of Internal Medicine took the lead to introduce “international teachers” in medical education at Xiangya Hospital and, on April 1, 2018, appointed Prof. Mark H. Swartz, Director of Clinical Competence Center of New York, lecture professor of Xiangya Hospital, with an appointment period of 3 years. During the appointment, Prof. Mark H. Swartz will regularly come to Xiangya Hospital for teaching and practice in diagnostics and internal medicine."
